■Thank you to everyone who cooperated:
Mr. Yamagami, Mr. Furuya, Mr. Uenohara, and everyone at IBM Japan, Ltd., Hakozaki Plant.

Students from the third stage of the UTokyoGSC-Next program visited IBM Japan, Ltd.
During this site visit, they first viewed demonstrations and replicas of cutting-edge technologies and received explanations about the latest technologies, such as quantum computing. They
also gained a new perspective on connecting research activities with solving social problems through a design thinking workshop that explored technologies for solving social issues and ideas for their application. The
on-site interaction among the students and the actual visit to the company provided a valuable experience for them to consider the connection between their own research and society.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again to everyone at IBM Japan, Ltd. for their cooperation from the preparations to the operation of the event on the day.
*IBM Japan, Ltd. is a participating company of the UTokyoGSC Consortium.
